Rental Terms

• Reservations are binding for both parties once the rental agreement has been signed or written confirmation has been sent by email. For all Prestige classes, a deposit of 25% of the rental amount is due within 7 days.
• Rebooking costs CHF 80.– for the Prestige class and CHF 30.– for all other categories.
• Payment methods: cash or credit card (Visa, Eurocard, American Express), debit card or Postcard. When picking up the vehicle: a cash deposit or payment by credit card is required. A credit card is mandatory when renting Prestige vehicles and cars from category 08 upwards.
• WIR currency: 50% of the rental amount (excluding insurance and fuel) – no discounts.
• Should the reserved vehicle not be available, another vehicle of the same or the next higher category will be rented at the agreed rental price.
• 1 day = 24 hours (exception: Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
• A delay of up to one hour is charged at 20% of the daily rate; a delay of more than one hour is charged as an additional full day.
• In the event of a delay of more than one day without notification, a police report will be filed and a search initiated. An administrative fee will be charged.
• ½ day = 8:00–11:30 a.m. or 2:00–5:30 p.m. or 5:45 p.m.–7:00 a.m. On Saturdays the half-day rate is only available on request. If the return time is not observed, the full daily rate is automatically charged.
• Petrol and diesel costs are borne by the renter. If the vehicle is not refuelled, the missing fuel will be invoiced together with a refuelling fee of CHF 20.–.
• Rental vehicles and trailers may only be driven in the following countries: Switzerland, Germany, France, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Austria and Northern Italy (up to a maximum of 300 km from the Swiss border). Other countries require approval by management and are only valid if noted and signed on the rental agreement. Any breach of this rule makes the renter fully liable for any damage or theft of the vehicle.
• Driving on race tracks, towing other vehicles, driving lessons and renting to third parties is not permitted.
• Snow chains and navigation CHF 25.–, ski and luggage racks (incl. mounting) CHF 35.– per rental.
• AVB vouchers have a fixed, binding validity period. An extension by one further year is possible for an administrative fee of CHF 50.–.
• Special requests are billed according to effort.

The rental price includes third-party liability insurance with a CHF 1,000.– deductible (cannot be waived), as well as fully comprehensive insurance with a tiered deductible. This deductible can be waived for a fee, or reduced to CHF 1,000.– for the Prestige class.

Cars, convertibles, commercial vehicles and minibuses

Prestige class

Drivers under 25 years of age or holding a driving licence valid for less than one year pay a 50% surcharge on the deductible waiver in all categories. In the event of gross negligence causing an accident or withdrawal of the driving licence, the deductible will always be charged in full – the deductible waiver no longer applies.

Not covered: transported goods and personal belongings of the renter (e.g. luggage). Mechanical damage as well as damage to tyres, rims, mirrors, upholstery, convertible roof, superstructures (failure to observe overall height), etc. caused by careless or improper use are not covered and are charged to the renter.

In the event of a mechanical breakdown in Switzerland or abroad, any brand-specific assistance applies first; if this is not possible, please contact TCS at 031 850 55 66. In the event of an accident in Switzerland, an accident report must be completed. If there are injuries or an accident abroad, the police must be called. All phone numbers and the accident report form can be found in a folder in the glove compartment. Other costs incurred without our consent will not be reimbursed.

Any further consequential costs arising from a breakdown or accident (e.g. loss of earnings) that are not covered by assistance or insurance cannot be claimed from the rental company.

Only the renter themselves is authorised to drive the rented vehicle. Additional drivers must be registered before the start of the rental; the renter is responsible for ensuring they hold a valid driving licence. The cost is CHF 5.– per day and additional driver (total cost max. CHF 50.–).

• A deposit of 25% of the rental amount is due upon reservation.
• If the deductible is reduced, this applies to collision damage; a residual liability of CHF 1,000.– always remains.
• Damage (e.g. to rims, mirrors, upholstery, convertible roof, etc.) caused by careless or improper use, as well as mechanical damage, is not covered and is charged to the renter.

The limousine and minibus service rates include staff costs, vehicle costs, and the costs of fuel and insurance. Meals, any accommodation, motorway tolls or other expenses are billed separately. Time is calculated from departure in Reinach to the return to Reinach. Multi-day trips: price on request.
